Dramatic reviews for And Just Like That

Sex and the City

I was really looking forward to it: And Just Like That, but when I tried to install HBO Max this week, I received my first disappointment. Namely, that we can only see the series next year. The reviews from Variety and The Guardian seem to offer little comfort, as they are quite harsh. The Guardian calls the first twenty minutes of the series ‘terrible’ and accuses the series of going from the whitest show ever to now awkwardly trying to be ‘woke’ and explaining their turning points in life a bit too forcefully to the viewer.

Furthermore, Variety particularly misses the character of Samantha. Her absence is explained too briefly and apart from the absence of her character, the rest of the trio lacks the ‘zsa zsa zou’, as Carrie would describe it herself.

Still, I can't wait for the day we can see the series, and I hope that I will disagree with the reviewers and that I will watch the series all the way through, unlike the second movie.
