Food that is good for your brain

For your body, you go to a gym or implement a balance day. To recover from your work, you go on vacation. But how do you actually maintain your brain? You can train it, certainly, but it's also easy to eat healthily. And if there's one thing I'm good at, it's that. A handy list of what should be on the menu for a well-functioning mind.

Salmon
Omega 3, it seems to be the miracle cure to get your brain running. It's important for learning and remembering things. Eating fatty fish or taking Omega 3 could even reduce the chance of depression. A salmon wrap for lunch is therefore an excellent plan.

Chocolate
Besides Omega 3, magnesium is also a means to keep your brain in top condition. It comes in very handy that this is found in dark chocolate. Best excuse to break off another piece.

Bread
A whole grain sandwich keeps your brain strong, which is a handy side effect of good carbohydrates.

Blueberries
Those little rascals keep your brain young, as the berries are bursting with antioxidants.

Coffee
Some swear by a few cups a day, others claim it's bad for your stress levels, but one fact is that caffeine aids concentration. It's even said that a few cups a day reduces the risk of dementia. And what’s in coffee
you also find in cola, only they’ve stirred in the whole sugar pot there.

Walnuts
The nut that resembles your brain, which apparently is not for nothing. Nuts contain healthy fats, which are good for the functioning of your mind. Oh, and fiber, which helps your intestines function, which apparently also has a good effect on your brain.

Eggs
An egg a day keeps the doctor away, should be the saying. A lot has already been said about the egg. You eat too many, you eat too few, eating an egg is murder of an embryo (no joke) and it’s the right fuel if you want to lose a pound. Whatever the truth is, one or two eggs are definitely good for your brain. It helps your mental functioning and affects your mood and memory.

And of course: green vegetables
Broccoli is good for memory, spinach is good for your concentration. Oh, and a little banana (I know, not a vegetable) is very good for your mood.
