Vacation in 2021: rather traveling than finding true love

Ever since the creation of a possible vaccine, I have only been saying: double shoots. Just get that stuff in, then I can finally travel carefree again. Yes yes yes, and hug my loved ones and sit glued to my colleagues and drink in a crowded pub, but also travel. I miss being out and about more each month.

But what can we actually expect from the vacation in 2021? Booking.com I did some research into the travel desires among us travelers and the outcome is striking. 7 out of 10 Dutch people would rather go on vacation in 2021 than find true love. Now that's setting some serious priorities. Especially since true love should last a lifetime. But no, we prefer to drink caipirinhas for two weeks on the Costa. That love can surely wait another year.

Travelers are actually a lot more hopeful about the vacation of 2021, mainly due to the coronavirus vaccine. However, the research shows that Dutch people prefer to wait a little longer with international travel until they have received a double shot. 55 percent of the 28,000 respondents believe that travel and vacations will become more important after this pandemic.

Clear story: it's going to be a summer of love on the European coasts.
