Mays 4 favorite trends of the moment

We are still blowing out of our skirts, but in two weeks it will be summer time and in six weeks the May vacation begins. I can't quite grasp it yet, but it really is true. I have already started a period without alcohol and low in sugar to somewhat squeeze myself back into my swimsuit and I already have my summer dresses in sight. In the category of anticipation, and because you can shop now, so seize your chance: my favorite trends of the moment.
1. Sorbet colors
Pink, blue, and yellow so soft that it looks like your clothes have been lying in the sun for a long time and have been slightly faded. As if your dress has already been on three beach vacations with an overdose of sun and sea. Soft and sweet, I find it delightful.
2. Long, laidback luxury dresses
Lots of fabric, a bell-shaped sleeve, beautiful belts, but above all elegant and comfortable. Just add sandals and you're ready.

1. Rachel dress, €395,- Vanessa Bruno, 2. Blouse dress in poplin cotton, €759,- Odeeh,
3. Satin shirt dress, €450,- Vince, 4. Off-the-shoulder linen midi dress, €294,10 Sleeper
3. Show some leg
Lather them with a self-tanner and a nice oil (this is my favorite and put on those short shorts or skirt. My favorite is always the good old denim shorts because it's just a classic. If you're looking for something for a slightly fancier occasion, opt for a fabric variant. I do like it when the shorts are short, the waist closes high. And cycling shorts are back in, so if you want a bit more coverage on the upper thighs, you can choose those.

5. Parker denim shorts, €174,06 Agolde, 6. Rossano playsuit, €295,- Vanessa Bruno
7. Ariel woven shorts, €435,- Stella McCartney, 8. Bermuda checks, €25,95 Zara
4. Best basics
Because we live in the Covidium era, there have been some changes wardrobe-wise. We no longer squeeze ourselves into jackets and dresses that just don't feel good, but we are willing to spend a bit more on comfy wear. Sweater: okay, but then a nice one.

9. Cotton sweater, €190,- Sofie D’Hoore, 10. Sweater in cotton, €350,- Golden Goose
11. Athena sweater in cotton, €290,- Golden Goose
This is how you shop in half an hour:
1. Make an appointment with your favorite store.
2. Clear out your closet, see what still fits and think about what you need to make your wardrobe current again.
3. Call the store and give a bit more concrete information about what you're looking for and, also important, your size. This way they can do some preliminary work for you.
4. Once in the store, set your timer for ten minutes. After ten minutes of browsing and looking, you go try things on. You also reserve ten minutes for that. Then you have another ten minutes to pick it up and pay.
5. And know: at a nice local store where you come more often, you can probably take a few items home to try on if you didn't manage to decide in that half hour.
6. Good luck and support your locals!
