Let's get acquainted: these are the grooms of the new season of MAFS

Last week it was the ladies' turn (because: ladies first), but I can't skip the men of course. Will there be a new Mike among them? A new Sam (let's hope not)? Ooh, or a Mick? That seems like it would be a lot of fun. Well, just watch along and judge for yourself. I've been wrong about this before, by the way, because looks really don't say everything. The most fun ones often turn out to be the worst and vice versa. But having a few preferences is never wrong, of course.

The grooms of the new season of MAFS

Bryce
A 31-year-old man who lends his voice to the radio. I don't think he's a DJ, more of a speaker. We'll see. He claims to be confident, a bit arrogant, very outspoken, and other men are quickly intimidated by him.

My prediction: here comes trouble.

Cameron
32 years old and in his daily life, he operates large construction cranes. He's covered in tattoos but assures us that he's actually a real ‘teddy bear’. He worked in the mines in Western Australia for a while, but is now ready for love.

My prediction: I think he's genuinely sweet.

Brett
This man definitely has his heart in the right place. At 31, he does a lot of volunteer work and would love to set up his own center someday. Until then, he's an electrician.

Prediction: I don't think he has much experience with love yet.

Jake
He played in the AFL, so he probably hasn't lacked attention. He says he struggles to find girls who are really into him and not just his money/reputation.

My prediction: I think he secretly enjoys all that attention.

James
As a father of three, this 44-year-old man is always busy. On top of that, he's also a successful businessman who surrounds himself with luxury and money.

My prediction: if he gets matched with a blonde bimbo...

Jason
Even though he's 35, he goes out and dates like he's 20. Always on the go, but now that he's the last single one in his friend group, he thinks it's time for something serious.

My prediction: this is definitely going to cause trouble if he just wants to hit the pub.

Patrick
‘Bubbly, friendly, cheerful, and positive’: that's how he's described. He's 27 years old and works as a personal trainer. He hasn't had much luck in love, and now that he lives alone, he's quite lonely.

My prediction: I think this man is way too sweet. If a feisty type stands opposite him, it's going to go completely wrong.

Russell
According to him, this 37-year-old is happiest when he has a steak and a beer in front of him. He also has his own business in the mines.

My prediction: a bit of a Mick: rough, but sweet.

Sam
He describes himself as sarcastic and outspoken. He works in construction but is also busy setting up not one, but two fashion labels. Because of those ambitions, he's been single for a number of years.

My prediction: put a feisty lady opposite him and it could get interesting.
