Crazy about Donnie

Donnie, also known as Maradonnie, may receive an award for the best back jumper in the Netherlands. If a singer with a significant track record rides by, there is a 99 percent chance that Donnie will jump on the luggage rack. By the way, to push him towards the higher regions of the charts, of course.
A little Donnie is the lifeline of a possibly somewhat dormant career. Gerard Joling, René Froger: not that they have been away, but the time when you would type in a song of theirs on Spotify at a party is somewhat over. Until Donnie, that is.
The latest feat is ‘I took that voucher’ with René Froger. No, it is indeed not multilayered and also not a philosophical masterpiece. For that, you shouldn't be at Donnie's door. ‘Donnie is authentic’, something along those lines Froger said about the working method of his new mascot. Donnie didn't know that word. Rarely have I seen something more delightful than René Froger trying to explain a difficult word.
Then Donnie thanked René (this was all yesterday at Jinek) for some practical singing tips (pushing away with both hands during a high note and raising your eyebrows), which we then saw Donnie do during their joint performance. With the standard lines ‘I took that voucher, I took a ton, I took the prettiest one at the party on the mouth and of course clapped another joint on the balcony.’
Oh, I laugh so terribly about it. Who would have thought this. We suddenly have an Indian summer and as a cherry on top, a summer hit. All thanks to Donnie.
