Frozen grapes? Quite a good idea. Prosecco popsicles? Not bad either. But when you combine those two, you have a big hit on your hands. Drunk grapes from the freezer will be the party number at your barbecue.

Bunch of blue grapes
Bunch of white grapes
Satay skewers
1 bottle of prosecco
1/2 bottle of vodka

The recipe for frozen prosecco grapes is so simple that you can hardly call it a recipe. And the best part is: you have plenty prosecco and vodka left over, which you can use for a punch – another great option for a garden party.

Frozen grapes as ice cubes
Anyway: grapes in the freezer is a good idea. Because they are ideal for keeping your white wine a little fresh and sparkling, when the sun is doing everything to turn it into glühwein. Just instead of ice cubes, let a few frozen grapes clink in a glass of white wine – they don’t melt, so your wine won’t get diluted, and if they do give any juice or flavor to the wine, well, that’s a kind of circle of life, right?

Here’s how to make frozen prosecco grapes

  1. Thread the blue and white grapes alternately onto skewers.
  2. Place them in a dish.
  3. Pour over the prosecco and vodka.
  4. Cover and let sit for 1 hour. Then drain the alcohol.
  5. Place the dish with grape skewers in the freezer, let them freeze for about four hours.
  6. Serve directly from the freezer.
