This is an ode to the Vlamtosti

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: an ode to the vlamtosti.
The snack that I am really crazy about and that I see so little on the menus is the vlammetje. Sometimes you find it in a bittergarnituur (way too little, if it were up to me), but ordering a single portion... NO WAY. Why do so many hospitality businesses refuse to put this on their snack menu? So lame. Yet there is also a spicy silver lining.
You can buy them for home, but I run into a ‘problem’: I don't have a deep fryer. Purely out of self-protection, because with my snack love, that can quickly get out of hand by 100 kilos. And in an Airfryer, vlammetjes really taste less good.
The combination of two favorite snacks
But then suddenly there was the Vlamtosti. Or well, suddenly: maybe it has existed for much longer, but it recently slid into my life and now I am hooked. The Vlamtosti has knocked my long-time lover, the kipsatétosti, hard off its throne. Why? First of all: the Vlamtosti is simply divine. And even better: you don't have to do anything yourself. Just buy it ready-made, add some chili sauce and HOPPA, done is Kees.
Even better than vlammetjes?
Maybe I find the Vlamtosti even tastier than a portion of vlammetjes. Because that cheese, that's quite a good addition. For just over two euros, you get two pieces. TWO! No money. So you understand: I'm going to get another one now. And if I sound passionate about this ready-made tosti, it's because I really am. No spon, this is just pure enjoyment.
PS: If you know places where vlammetjes are available, please let me know. Then I need to go there for drinks when everything is open again.
