People say: this is the best advice I have ever received

I am a hero in giving advice. In accepting it too, actually. Following it... Not so much. But I really love those semi-deep quotes on the internet that you often see passing by. Really, 80 percent of those Insta-quotes are terrible — and don't make sense either — but sometimes one hits a chord that makes me think: hey, there’s something to that.

But for real advice, I still prefer to dive into Reddit, where today the question was asked: ‘What is your best advice?’ Seems pretty self-explanatory to me. I've listed the best ones for you, who knows you might find them useful.

My best advice? Never underestimate the power of stupid people in a large group. You will lose to them.

‘I’m not sure if this is advice, but your history of getting through the toughest days is 100 percent success rate and that’s pretty good.’

‘Learn the difference between listening and wanting to talk.’

‘The grass is greener where you water it.’

‘If someone offers you a mint, take it.’

‘Don’t set yourself on fire to keep someone else warm.’

‘If you hang out with a friend and you feel completely drained and unhappy every time after seeing them, they are not a friend. Stay away from people who want to start a debate instead of wanting to listen. This also applies to yourself, by the way.’

‘You wouldn’t worry about how people think of you if you knew how often they actually think about you.’

‘Practice feeling uncomfortable. Growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone.’

‘Do your best not to regret the things you have learned from.’

‘If you haven’t seen it with your own eyes or heard it with your own ears, don’t make it up with your small mind and don’t share it with your big mouth.’

‘Before you enter into a serious relationship with someone, make sure you know how they are when they are drunk.’

‘Use negativity very sparingly. If you are a negative person, many doors will remain closed for you.’
