Telling people: ‘these statements show someone is a bad person’

Telling people: 'these statements show someone is a bad person'

Of course, I spent hours on Reddit again this week (seriously, you'd be shocked to see my average screen time) and on AskReddit there were all sorts of interesting questions again. So I had a bit of choice stress which one to share... But it turned out to be this one: ‘What is a phrase most often used by assholes?’ Because honestly: it strikes me quite often that some things really are said purely by sour people. This topic was a feast of recognition. Herewith the most striking and/or interesting answers.

1. ‘Do you even know who I am!’

2. *Questions you why something happened like being late for work* ‘I don't need your excuses.’ Or, just as bad: ‘That's no excuse.’

3.  When someone is being very toxic and you call them on it and the response you get is, ‘That's just how I am.’

4. ‘You'll change your mind.’ It's so derogatory and irritating.

5. ‘I'm just saying how it really is.’ No, you tell your own view of it and make it come across as fact.

6. ‘Only God can judge me.’

7. ‘If you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.’

8. ‘I'm just being golden,’ after something very mean is said.

9. ‘No offence, but...’

10. In the same category: ‘With all due respect, but...’

11. ‘Because I say so.’ That. Is. No. Argument.
