Say cheese: The Netherlands is getting its own cheese festival

Anyone who knows us a little knows that we can't imagine life without cheese. Stronger; we are always looking for ways to get even more cheese in our lives . True love for us is a cheese bouquet on Valentine's Day, a cheese toastie can't be crazy enough for us (hello toastie with Gruyère and red wine!) and a drink is only complete with homemade cheese sticks and spicy cheese bitterballs. A festival to celebrate our love for cheese cannot be missed.
We are organizing the very first Amsterdam Cheese Festival together with our favorite cheese affineur: Kaasfort Amsterdam, from the well-known cheese shops Bourgondisch Lifestyle in Amsterdam and Beverwijk. What can you expect?
Cheese, cheese, and more cheese
From creamy tasted burrata, gooey Vacherin Mont d'Or, hard Gruyère and everything in between; during the Amsterdam Cheese Festival you can not only taste and buy the best cheeses from the best cheesemakers (who will be present), but there will also be cheese quizzes (with fun prizes, increase your cheese quiz winning chances here!), cheese masterclasses, and other cheesy surprises on the program. And of course, there will be plenty of delicious drinks available to wash it all down.
The location: Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam
The Amsterdam Cheese Festival takes place in the Posthoornkerk, a beautiful and unique location in the lively Haarlemmerstraat, within walking distance of the Central Station. This church was designed by Pierre Cuypers, who also designed the Central Station, the Vondelkerk, and the Rijksmuseum.
Date and ticketing
The Amsterdam Cheese Festival takes place on Sunday, October 10, and Monday, October 11, 2021. (Sunday is for consumers and Monday is for the trade). Information about ticket sales will follow soon!
