Temptation Island: The Aftertalk episode 6

Oooh, I was really looking forward to this episode. Because those previews didn't look bad at all. Delphine with an important message, that was of course what everyone wanted to know. What did she have to tell? To be honest, I thought she was going to run away. Done with Temptation, enough, back to my house. Safe haven full of cameras and tracking devices. Familiar territory. But nooo, The Big Reveal turned out to be a bit different. I'm still recovering from it.

1. What is this? Bert thinking rationally and logically? In Temptation Island? I'm in ~shock~.

2. Fortunately, there's Nico who doesn't listen and only sees drama. Noted: when your partner normally reacts sharply and now doesn't, something's up. Clear. Water-tight argument.

3. Props to Donna for actually going to work out. How many times have I gone to bed with the same intention, only to bail the next morning…

4. In this episode, I'm continuing #freebertus, you know. You definitely know you're not doing well if you don't have the singles in your villa on your side like Delphine. I think the single men fully support my movement.

5. I hear and understand what Donna is saying, but I just can't follow how she comes to all these conclusions. What did Nico really do wrong besides wanting to say dirty things? Am I missing something huge?

6. The moment we've all been waiting for all week. What does Delphine want to say? Is she leaving? What's going on?

7. WHUT. Bertus. BERTUS! This is something very different from a simple kiss. And massages are taken at a salon, NOT from a prostitute. In a hotel room.

8. ‘And then she stands there with her tears in her hands.’ Is an episode of Temptation really Temptation if there aren't all sorts of — wrong — wise sayings thrown around?

9. How can the meaning of the concept ‘massage’ differ so much between two people? Do you book massages in hotel rooms in Belgium? Is the difference there so small between prostitutes and masseurs? To quote Selma Omari: isn't that weird?

10. Victor also asks why he didn't want to make the massage erotic (because that's apparently a completely normal choice) and his answer is ‘that it didn't work, stage fright.’ Wrong. Answer. Bertus.

11. Your little business didn't want to grow, but if you had a nose like Pinocchio, you'd have a really long one by now.

12. Wow, Jamila, chill. ‘That he, even he, can get someone better’? Who hurt you?

13. ’This was ages ago’ — Belgium continues to surprise me this episode. It's about cycling. You know, how about 90 percent of people in the Netherlands move from location A to location B.

14. I'm getting huge 2006 vibes from that shoulder top of Joyce (with the black hair), with that transparent bra strap. Good times.

15. How the tables have turned. Last week I thought Bertus was really pathetic, and Delphine — to be fair — a bit crazy, but now… I find them both a bit crazy.

16. Example A: Delphine revealing something twice in front of cameras and then being afraid that other people will find out. Dear Delphine, the whole Benelux knows by now.

17. The creators are really sly beings, you know. Delphine literally cried all day and still they dare to turn on that lamp in her room. Ice cold, producers. Ice cold.

18. Joop feels a bit like the main character, I think, despite the fact that he's one of the singles. Quite a cool attitude to adopt.

19. You know, now that I think about it: I'm actually quite fed up with Bert and Delphine. Enjoying the juice and complaining about each other is fun, but why on earth are they still in a relationship? For TEN years? Break it off, go your own way, and you'll see that all these problems will disappear in one go.
