The number one resort in the world

Ikos

If we can use something, it's a vacation. I'm going to assume for convenience that you feel the same way. In October, I left, between the two lockdowns, with my family to the Greek mainland. To stay at Ikos Olivia and I promise you: you will want to go here as soon as it is possible and allowed.

I heard a lot of good things about the Ikos resorts, and one thing was certain: if we go on vacation, it has to be good. Well, it was. Upon arrival at the resort, a test was taken from all of us just to be sure to start our vacation coronavirus-free. And then it was a week of doing nothing. No laundry, no dishes, no making beds. Wonderful!

You understand that the Ikos resorts are of the five-star category when you see them. The resort is located on a super beautiful beach, has several swimming pools, in the à la carte restaurant your food is prepared by Michelin chefs, and the 24/7 room service is the best of the best. And then the mattresses by the pool, they were honestly thicker than at my home, they looked like Aupings.

For us, it was the first time all inclusive and we really enjoyed it. Because it is a super deluxe resort, you don't have guests who misuse that service inappropriately. It's worth trying, especially if this is the reason you normally don't choose all inclusive so quickly.

A little inside info about Ikos Resorts, for when you are going to book. Ikos has five locations, four of which you can find in Greece: Ikos Aria on Kos, Ikos Dassia on Corfu, Ikos Oceania and Olivia on Halkidiki, and thus on the mainland. Newly added to the list is Ikos Andalusia in Spain, where you can enjoy the luxury of Ikos near Marbella.

For now, not very unimportant: Ikos provides the very best health and safety measures. So it is a safe holiday place to relax. Just read here. Okay, here's the final push to go: Ikos Olivia was awarded the number two in the world and Europe among all-inclusives by Travellers’ Choice in 2020.

Will I see you there?
