These are the tastiest ready-to-bake croissants for home

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: these are the tastiest frozen croissants for home.
I find it delightful to have an elaborate breakfast on the weekend. During the week, breakfast often gets skipped nine times out of ten (very unhealthy and bad, I know), so it’s all the more fun to indulge on the weekend. And yes, sometimes I go to the bakery, but nowadays I prefer to just order from Crisp. Because believe me: these frozen butter croissants are truly delicious beyond words.
Crisp is, just like Picnic for example, an online platform where you can order your groceries. At Crisp, I generally find more exclusive items. Ideal for such an elaborate breakfast or for a dinner with friends.
Word of mouth always works best
I have a love for croissants. An added bonus is that I live near bakery Simon Meijssen, which in my opinion has the absolute best ham and cheese croissants. Those frozen variants often make me quite sad. Do they even have anything to do with a croissant? The shape, the taste, the texture; it usually doesn’t even resemble one. When I was going on a tirade about this, I got these frozen croissants as a tip and now I’m passing that tip on to you, because these are really very tasty. And, not entirely unimportant: they are real croissants.
And then that butter…
The dough of the croissants comes from Brittany and consists among other things of fruity AOP butter from Poitou-Charentes. That butter is also known as the ‘champagne of butters’ and provides that delicious caramel-like flavor. For four pieces you pay €3.99 and you can simply order them via the Crisp app. They are delivered frozen and after twenty minutes in the oven, you can enjoy the tastiest croissants, promised. #nospon #justlove
