These celebs are avid smokers

Well, it's certainly not good for your health (understatement), and I think fewer and fewer people are doing it, but still, smoking is a passionate hobby for many, from which they just can't seem to break free. Some might not want to, of course. Quitting can be difficult when you're truly addicted to nicotine. I find it striking that you don't often know whether celebs smoke or not. Many celebrities want to keep it a secret from the general public because they have a large fanbase made up of teenagers, and it's not a good example, or because they pretend to live very healthily... Anyway, these celebs smoke quite a bit. Personally, I find it seriously quite sexy when people smoke. Very bad and very cliché, I know, but come on; Leo DiCaprio with a nonchalant cigarette? You can carry me away.

1. Bella Hadid
She has joked on her Instagram about wanting to quit, but so far, that hasn't worked out.

2. Leonardo DiCaprio
Admittedly, he switched to vaping a few years ago.

3. Zayn Malik
He received a lot of criticism because of his young fans, but he continues to smoke stubbornly.

4. Jennifer Lawrence
But I guess she has now — at least temporarily — quit due to her pregnancy.

5. Gwyneth Paltrow
Okay, not a die-hard smoker: she claims to smoke one a week, on Saturday night. But still: I really didn't expect that from her.

6. Emily Blunt
Used to be spotted smoking often, but not in recent years. So no certainty here, maybe she has quit.

7. Lady Gaga
Miss Gaga openly admits that she loves smoking. In fact, she prefers to have a glass of whiskey with it.

8. Lana Del Rey
She even smokes on stage sometimes. Yes, she enjoys a cigarette from time to time. All day, every day, that is.

9. Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen
Both still smoke as far as I know. I must say it really suits them. Still unhealthy, though.

10. Matt Damon
Claims to have been really addicted in the past, but quit by going under hypnosis. Now he only smokes one occasionally.

11. Naomi Campbell
Has been smoking since her modeling days.

12. Michael Fassbender
Rolls his own cigarettes. So delightfully old school.

13. Alicia Vikander
The wife of the above also enjoys it, but she buys them ready-made.

14. Katherine Heigl
Has been addicted since she was 25 and claims she just can't quit.

15. Kate Winslet
Is not mega addicted (she doesn't smoke around her kids and not at home), but enjoys doing it in the morning when she's traveling.

16. Elijah Wood
Is so addicted that he advocated for more rights for smokers. He also admitted that in his ‘heyday’ he smoked up to thirty cigarettes a day. That must have carried quite a bit of luft with it, I say.

17. Charlie Sheen
Well, this doesn't surprise me at all. Even during interviews, he sometimes lights one up.

18. Paris Hilton
Paris shares my opinion, as she has also said that she finds smoking ‘so sexy’.

19. Kate Moss
Everyone has probably seen images of Kate smoking by now?

20. Dakota Johnson
Was caught during the MET Gala in 2017 when she lit one up. That's the same event where Bella Hadid got caught for the same habit.

21. Britney Spears
Seems to have reduced over the years, but admitted that in 2007 she smoked up to forty cigarettes a day.

22. Lindsay Lohan
Uh, yeah. I don't think anyone is surprised by this.

23. Kirsten Dunst
Is not ashamed of it and has been spotted smoking many times, in her private life and on set.
