These jobs make you the happiest

When I open my laptop in another place in the world and start writing, that makes me the happiest in my work. I still remember where I wrote in Copenhagen, how irresponsibly ergonomic I typed in Malta, and as we speak, I am looking out over a Greek harbor. That freedom makes me happy. But what are the jobs that make you happy?
5) Writers
It's not surprising that writing makes me happy, as research shows, because writers are in the top 5 of the happiest people. In this case, it is about book writers, by the way, and I don't belong to that (yet). Authors are especially happy with the freedom. They choose where and when they work. Although I know from a reliable (copyright) source that a book can also be a labor.
4) Physiotherapist
Doing something to help another seems to be the criterion for being happy in a job. This also applies to the physiotherapist. A physio helps people with physical complaints, has pleasant social contact in the meantime, and often sees the results of the work within a reasonable time.
3) Firefighters
Running into a burning house is not something that would immediately make me very happy, but fortunately, the professionals see it differently. The professional fire service derives satisfaction from helping people. Not only in dangerous situations but also in the smaller things throughout the day.
2) Social worker
Last week I wrote about the five jobs where you earn more than 5k a month, but it turns out that this does not make you happy at all. The income of a social worker is not very high, but the satisfaction from the work is. Social workers often put their heart and soul into the (overtime) work and rightly receive a lot of appreciation in return.
1) Pastor
Well, this one may not be for everyone. Yet research shows that being a pastor makes you very happy. Not surprising, as a pastor often sees his/her profession as a calling. The Netherlands got its first female pastor in 2019, so there are career opportunities.
Want to expand your options a bit more? Kindergarten teachers, artists, and psychologists are also particularly happy in their work. But especially stay away from jobs like roofer, waiter, or factory worker, because those are the jobs that make you unhappy.
