This is the strangest (and the most expensive) thing you can buy at Bol

Gucci bags, bol.com
Bol.com, order today and receive it tomorrow. Their portfolio quickly expanded from books and DVDs to toys, diapers, sports equipment, intelligent hoops, audio boxes, heaters, garden chairs... Name it and they have it.
There was a slight shock in beautyland when Bol.com started selling high-end brands as well. Chanel (did you know that No. 5 turns exactly 100 years old today?), Bobbi Brown, Estée Lauder... These brands didn't really see it as a celebration because they think carefully about where their products can be sold and who sells them. You won't easily find Chanel in a drugstore, because they prefer not to have No. 5 next to rat poison.
But well, the online world has different rules and prohibiting someone from selling your products is a. difficult and b. every sale is still a sale, so it was cautiously deemed okay. And Bol? Bol wanted more.
Even the unique Oud Ispahan from Dior and Cuir de Russie from Chanel, which are normally only available in the boutiques of both brands (or in the Bijenkorf), you could just toss into your cart with one click. Behind that pack of Pampers, of course.
But now, now Bol is also simply selling Gucci bags. Or nothing at all. I must say I did some self-analysis (by the way, here are six psychological tricks that will make you happier) . Why do I find it strange at Bol.com and completely normal at Net-a-Porter that thousands of euros are ordered online? The answer came quickly. At Net-a-Porter everything is high-end and luxurious, buying a Gucci bag at Bol.com feels a bit like grabbing a Chanel bag at the checkout of Albert Heijn. It's just not the same five-star experience. On the other hand: no one is forcing you to buy your designer bag at Bol. You at least have it at home the next day and once it's on your arm, no one knows where you got the bag from. And if you want to hide that purchase from your partner, a blue spotted Bol box is just a bit more innocent than the black-and-white stitched Net-a-Porter experience.
