Today you drink Orange Spritz

Tomorrow we celebrate the birthday of our king. And whether you are royalist or not, tomorrow is a party. We have so little that colors life these days, so fill the glasses, and while you're at it, of course, put something festive in there. And something that colors orange for the better King's Day feeling.

Now you immediately think of that delicious mix from the Italian Veneto, but why bring something from afar when we have an Old Dutch version ready for you? That is also incredibly affordable...

So tomorrow (and I guess the rest of the summer, because it's delightful) you will drink an Orange Liqueur from De Kuyper. 

Make the mix for an Orange Spritz:

• 3 parts prosecco
• 2 parts Orange Liqueur
• 1 part sparkling water

Finish it off with a slice of orange in your glass and some sturdy ice cubes and it's three cheers for the king.

To still experience the collective party feeling, a National Toast has been initiated (of which De Kuyper is an important partner; you understand, I understand), where we will raise our glasses together at 4:30 PM (but at a distance) and find a bit of toast-comfort together. The royal family is also participating, so turn on the TV for a moment. The money that all those partners contribute goes entirely to the Oranje Fonds.
