The four reasons why women fake orgasms

A little ooh and ah, I'm coming I'm coming and hop, your ride is ready again. Why do women so often fake it?
First of all: so many do it, faking in bed. And certainly the woman in the story is guilty of this. No less than 60 percent of women sometimes yell that they see fireworks while they are just lying there faking and puffing. She doesn't actually finish, but her partner thinks she does. Fortunately, we are not the only ones who fake it. Also, 25 percent of men regularly pretend to finish. Why is that? Scientists and experts know the answer.
There are four clear reasons to point out:
1. You are insecure about your performance in bed
Out of insecurity but (together with the other) shouting that you are almost there. You let it be known that you think it's a great sexual experience, while you might not think so at all. You want to stay positive between the sheets, so you shout it from the rooftops.
2. You want to end the ride
Simply because you are done with it. Literally. You are not really finished, but you just fake it all around. Then you can finally take a nap.
3. You don't want to hurt the other
If your partner is trying so hard with all that oral drooling and tonguing and slurping, you actually find it (secretly) not enjoyable at all. Well, then just a little extra moaning. It's good for his or her ego.
4. You want an emotional bond with the other
It seems a bit like that not hurting, although that can also happen with flings. With a steady partner in a long relationship you want to cultivate an emotional bond. Sex is an important pillar in every relationship, that's just how it is. And when you both ‘finish’ together, it creates a bond. Then you can rely on that while you text about grocery shopping and tidying up the house for the rest of the week.
Researcher Erin Cooper explains it a bit more specifically. The scientist interviewed 366 women between the ages of 18 and 32. Remarkably: besides that insecurity, wanting to please the other, and wanting to end the ride, there is a group of women who fake an orgasm to improve their own sexual experience. ‘This small subgroup of women hopes to increase their own arousal by faking,’ says the scientist. ‘It's one of the many means women use to have a positive sexual experience.’ As in: even if you are just pretending, it still seems in your memory that you have a great sex life. You start to believe your own lies, that idea.
Well, whatever works for you, right?
