Wooow, Sam from MAFS is making his voice heard on Instagram

Perhaps the most hated candidate of MAFS ever; also a special honor, right? I'm of course talking about Sam Ball, a seemingly handsome man who managed to ruin that whole looks with his ugly inner self. But he wants to set the record straight. According to him, because the series suddenly became immensely popular in England, especially his season (number six), which he (two years after filming) feels a strong need to clarify some things.
Okay, first of all: HELLO Sam, why aren't we Dutch mentioned? You guys are popular here too, so a little recognition would be nice. But alright, on to the juicy gossip.

Shortly after filming, Sam deleted his Instagram, but he’s back. And how. Funny: there are also photos from during and before his MAFS time, and wow, how much has this man changed. Those black locks have been gone for a while, but how can someone's face be so shiny?
But on to the important things: the MAFS spoilers. They can be found on his Insta account, under the heading ‘MAFS Spoilers’. And ooooh boy, there are some serious spoilers here.
Let's start at the beginning: the wedding. According to Sam, he was really positive about Lizzie, but the production disagreed. They kept bothering him to give more quotes until they themselves hinted that she would be ‘a bigger girl’. Sam picked up on that and the rest is history. According to him, he never wanted to fat-shame Lizzie.
But even before the wedding started, Sam wanted to share some juicy gossip. It seems that when you have to state your ‘preferences’ for your upcoming bride(groom), you mainly get superficial questions. What hair color, what eye color, tall, thin, sturdy, shoe size, and so on. He also says that it’s not the experts who make the couples, it’s the producers: they would know what makes for the best TV. Because if they listened to the wishes of the participants, they would never have paired Lizzie with Sam.
These are Sam's words, huh. Although there is certainly some truth to it. Not with all couples by the way (Heidi and Mike were just love, Jules and Cam of course too, and Martha and Michael are also a success), https://amayzine.com/nl/2021/zijn-er-nog-koppels-van-mafs-australia-samen/ but I really believe that some participants are purely put together for entertainment.
Butttt… There’s more. We all still remember that Sam bolted after the wedding like a hare, due to a funeral in New Zealand. He also wants to share a thing or two about that: the funeral was real, but him arriving late to the dinner party afterwards was not. He would have arrived first, but had to wait over four hours in the car until he was welcomed for the ultimate shock value. Meanwhile, Lizzie would have been told that the producers really had no idea where Sam was and so the two were set against each other.
Moreover, Sam would have returned from New Zealand earlier but was told by the producers that everyone had ‘a week off from filming’. So he spent a week chilling by the pool, having a drink, hanging out, waiting until he started filming again. And when he started again, he found out he was the only one who had gotten that week off.
Oooookee. Sounds pretty intense, right? And I might believe it too, were it not for the fact that he – if all this is true – could have reached out to Lizzie? They both still have a phone, right? So he can say what he wants, but he didn’t really make an effort. Because he could easily use his phone to exchange secret messages with Ines. Speaking of…
According to him, it was an idea from the producers to bring Ines and him together. Nothing lust, love, or attraction, this all came from the producers. Well, I actually believe this a bit. From Sam's side; Ines clearly had quite a crush on him.
As Sam says: he saw everything as a show, as a game. In the end, he participated for three to four weeks and he still suffers from it. Especially since the show has also become intensely popular outside Australia. So that’s why he wants to set the record straight. And just a little about those three to four weeks: he wanted to stop earlier, but the producers said they would sue him if he did. And so he was forced to write ‘stay’.
Wow, the most intense part might be the reason he skipped the last commitment ceremony. He was there for the dinner, but the next day… Poof. Okay, here’s the deal: in the meantime, he got a girlfriend who absolutely disagreed with him showing his face there again. He did (at the dinner) and his girlfriend was so upset that she wanted to cut her wrists and sent him all kinds of photos of that. What. The. FUCK? That’s why he decided not to go that evening and to find his girlfriend instead. What a story.
The reason he’s coming out with this now? His contract would be up, so now he can finally speak out without being afraid of facing a lawsuit. I’m not entirely sure what to believe. That Sam was cast purely for entertainment (and drama), I do believe… But yeah, you still have to want it all yourself. No one forces you to say on camera that Lizzie is ‘a bigger girl’ and they can’t force you to shove your tongue down Ines’ throat. My judgment: Sam is still not really a good catch.
