Struggling to find vintage gems? Try one of these stores:

1. Marbles Vintage
This is the only vintage store where I always walk out with the perfect Levi’s jeans. In other shops, there are usually only pants that I either drown in or can't pull up past my ankles. At Marbles Vintage, they have a huge stock of Levi’s in various sizes: absolutely fantastic.

2. Laura Dols
For weddings or other parties where you can go all out, you must visit Laura Dols. Here hang the most beautiful princess dresses, which are also very affordable. Additionally, they have beautiful accessories like hats, clutches, pearl necklaces, and scarves. In short: you can score your entire outfit in one visit.

3. Hartendief
Looking for a beautiful Max Mara or Burberry coat in perfect condition? Then you absolutely must visit Hartendief in Leiden. They also sell many other beautiful brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci, in other words: heaven. And all that for a reasonable price.

4. Gimme Glitter
The name says it all: here you can buy amazing and quite ‘extra’ Paris Hilton-like bags and sunglasses from brands like Chanel, Burberry, Fendi, and Dior. Lots of prints, rhinestones, and striking colors. What a delightful (and life-threatening) store this is.

5. Rumors Vintage & Design
This is such a nice and tidy vintage store where you don't have to search for hours among the items because they have sorted everything neatly (and by color). Here you will find many colorful doll-like items – I love them – of really nice quality. Also nice: they replenish their stock every day.

6. Kilo Store 
Once you become a pro at hunting for vintage, this store is paradise on earth. Here you pay by weight instead of per item. So put on some music, gather some fun items, and weigh them.

7. Enso Vintage
You can score the most tasteful, timeless, and minimalist items at Enso Vintage, both in the physical store and online. They sell high-quality vintage clothing plus their own upcycled collection. Definitely worth a visit if you're near the Pijp.

8. Bij Ons Vintage
In the center of Amsterdam, you will find no less than three stores of Bij Ons Vintage. They really have everything here: from warm (faux) fur coats to old-school sports jackets and wool sweaters that you would love to live in. Go check it out.

9. Rêveuse 
This might be the coziest and most colorful vintage store of them all, with a window full of cozy knick-knacks for the home. So if you're looking for a housewarming gift, you definitely need to stop by here.

In addition to the most beautiful second-hand clothing, they also sell lovely necklaces made from leftover materials.

10. Penny Lane 
Here they sell, among other things, penny lane-like jackets in the most beautiful colors and delightful (faux) lamb coats. Additionally, you will find the cutest dresses and blouses with flowers, polka dots, and many more cheerful prints. In short: a store that makes you happy.

11. Direct Vintage 
Haven't I convinced you yet and would you rather shop vintage from the couch? That’s possible at Direct Vintage, where they sell beautiful items from brands like Gucci, Miu Miu, and Thierry Mugler. What you do need to do is keep a close eye on their Instagram for the latest gems. Quite addictive, I can tell you.
