12 x the most annoying statements from influencers

Endlessly scrolling on Instagram: unfortunately, I do this more often than I would actually like. But deleting the app from my phone, I wouldn't do that so quickly. I find it way too fun to lurk at people or to check out restaurants, so I know exactly what I'm going to eat somewhere. But well, now and then I can also get quite irritated by what I see passing by from the so-called influencers. Below I share a number of statements that I find all too exhausting.
1. ‘I normally never do this but…’
Often we then see a video of an influencer speaking into the camera and having a very ‘important’ message to share with us. However, these people film themselves all day long, so this comment actually makes no sense.
2. ‘So many people have asked about…’
I always question this comment a bit. Have people really asked about your ‘skincare routine’ or do you just want to share this yourself? Because you can just say that, there's nothing wrong with it.
3. ‘1TP5Don't participate anymore’
Well, perhaps the most notorious comment on Instagram, which comes from the first stage of corona. Certain types decided en masse to ‘not participate’ in corona anymore. Fortunately, Famke Louise later indicated on television that she did have respect for the virus.
4. ‘Ask me a question’
I don't know why, but I always get a bit annoyed when people hold a Q&A on Instagram. And I'm not talking about famous actors or major sources of inspiration, but just about people we went to high school with. Let's not take ourselves too seriously.
5. ‘This is not an ad, but a sincere tip’
I never believe anything of this. Sometimes they even add #nospon. But who says you aren't just being paid to promote that particular product? Don't fall for it, people.
6. ‘I find it so exciting to share something so personal’
Huh? But you literally share everything about your life and earn money from it. I have nothing against that, but I always find these kinds of comments a bit exaggerated.
7. ‘Insta vs. reality’
Of course, it's good that people decide to give a counter-reaction to all the perfect pictures, but some people do take it a bit too far. Forcing fat rolls in photos or zooming in on your bags under your eyes, I don't think that's a proper representation of reality.
8. ‘I'm really obsessed with…’
As soon as you read this, you know someone is being paid to advertise. People are not obsessed with a lampshade or a phone case.
9. ‘Big things are coming’
I see this statement quite often. People claiming to be working on a project and mentioning that they can't say anything about it yet. We all curiously and patiently wait, but then you never hear anything about it again. Even more annoying and in the same category: ‘The word is FINALLY out!’ When they do decide to share what has been worked on for months, this is the ultimate announcement. I feel it's mainly an expression of the influencer themselves, because I can't imagine that other people aka the followers, keep track of how long you've been working on your project.
10. ‘Dreams do come true’
I'm a bit allergic to very ‘inspiring’ influencers. Especially the people who tell you from a gigantic villa that anything is possible if you just work hard enough for it. There is some truth to that, of course, but I still find it annoying.
11. ‘Use my code ...’
All those discount codes: terrible. I can't remember ever using one. Often you can use the code for products that you somewhat understand have a discount on them.
12. ‘So sorry I was offline for a while’
Usually, these people have not been on Instagram for exactly one day. There is really no one who noticed that, and yet they always have to mention it. With an apology, as if you have to justify the fact that you haven't been on your phone for a while. A bit exaggerated.
