Perfect anti-hangover snack: the bami ball

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: Perfect anti-hangover snack: the bami ball.
Eke Bosman, better known as Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, ate his first frikandel as a baby, hates flambeans, has consumed at least 1,500 burgers in his life, suspects there is more mayonnaise in his body than blood and shares his best and worst snack reviews on FavorFlav. This time he ate the bami-ball (and it was really good), tried vegan drumsticks and discovers that Lidl still has some room for improvement.
The bami-ball from vending machine Beursken, Velp

Here's some binding snack advice: if you're ever in the Velp area, you must (and I don't like the verb ‘must’ but this is an exception) go to Automatiek Beursken, because they have the bamibal of the Netherlands there. Frans Bauer is already a fan, so then you must be a fan too. And me. Hatsa. And yes, the real snack connoisseur knows that Fons Hof in Haarlem also delivers excellent bami-balls, but this is just a case of Messi-Ronaldo. The ball from Automatiek Beursken is so creamy, like a goal in the crossbar. A real hit. Nice and salty on the inside, cuddly noodles, mjam. And then hot peanut sauce (not too spicy, thankfully) to top it off. Velp has a monument as far as I'm concerned, and that monument is called Automatiek Beursken. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Vegetable drumstick from Vivera

Only just before writing this review did I find out that these spicy drumsticks from Vivera are not vega, just vegan. Still, it's like finding out that the rubber dild- no NO NO NO, not going there. Cut down now. Back to the point, because the spicy drumsticks are really fantastic. The spicy jacket gives a lot of flavour, but also the contents - soy- and wheat-based protein is iron- (haha, it also contains added iron) strong. Is there anything negative to say? Yes, I find them a bit small because they run out in no time. So beware. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sauerkraut-smoked sausage roll from Lidl

A sauerkraut-smoked sausage roll from Lidl, yay! And compared to those from the big blue competitor that rhymes with Kwalbert Pain, this one is a lot more attractive to look at. But also in terms of flavour: the balance between sauerkraut-mustard-meat is quite good here. The only downside is the dough: it's too firm, too thick, making it feel like you have to hire a couple of handymen before you get to the meat. Another thing: the sausage is as thin as a small frikandel. Doesn't really suit a smoked sausage to me. So yes, good flavour, but still fat areas for improvement. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
