These celebs did not finish high school

My high school years were not exactly a success, as I really didn't enjoy it. I managed to radiate that quite well, and so I spent more time in the hallway than in the classroom itself since I was constantly sent out. I think if you look up the concept of ‘unhappy teenager’ in the Dikke Van Dale, you would see an - unfortunate - photo of me. It didn't surprise any teacher that I was eventually kicked out in the fifth year of vwo. Unjustly, I must add, which caused even more anger in me. My mentor back then suggested that I would be better off going to a household school, and she expected that to be my final destination.

Fun detail: that same mentor called me later, feeling guilty, to say that she hadn't meant it that way at all. Yeah, right. I don't mind it anymore, as I consider myself among good company; these celebs also didn't finish their high school.

Small side note: I eventually did finish at another school, but let's conveniently forget that for now. I wanna be like Leo.

Imagine if Leo had finished high school and gone to study, then the general public would never have been able to enjoy him. The horror. Good choice then that he left school at sixteen to fully pursue acting.

2. Gisele Bündchen
This top model left school at the age of fourteen to fully focus on her modeling career. Good decision, it seems to me.

3. Ryan Gosling
At seventeen, he left his high school in Canada to join the Mickey Mouse Club. Fun detail: he lived with Justin Timberlake at that time.

4. Cameron Diaz
Did you know that Cameron Diaz initially wanted to become a model instead of an actress? She left her high school at the age of seventeen, and soon after, she was offered her first acting job.

5. Harry Styles
One Direction quickly became quite a big deal (understatement of the year), and soon Harry could no longer combine it with his high school. That choice was made quickly, of course.

6. Jennifer Lawrence
She calls herself ‘self-educated’ because she left school at the age of fourteen. By now, she already has an Oscar to her name, so not many people are still asking about her possible diploma.

7. Rihanna
At sixteen, she signed her first record deal, which also meant the end of her school career for the singer. We have been waiting for years for a new single, let alone an album from her, but it seems she is focusing more on the beauty industry.
