Celebs who were housemates before

It’s a small world aaaaafter all. And yes, even in Hollywood it’s actually just a small village where everyone knows each other. Some go way back and even lived together, both with a dream of becoming famous – acting, modeling, or singing, anything was possible. Because yes: these celebs were roommates back in the day.
1. Jamie Dornan and Eddie Redmayne
Funny combo, right? Before they achieved great success as actors, they lived together in LA. They received all the scripts there. According to Dornan, he received about 25 and Redmayne only three. However, that didn’t mean he had more success, because he claimed ‘this mostly meant more rejections for me.’.
2. Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling
These two were very young when they lived together. In fact, Ryan Gosling was even somewhat adopted by Justin's parents. This happened because his own mother had to move back to Canada in the second year of their start at The Disney Channel. Ryan was welcome in the Timberlake household.
3. Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford
When they both landed a role in Gossip Girl, the two decided to live together in New York ‘because they didn’t know if the show would be a success or not’. Ed had never lived anywhere else than at home, let alone in a completely different country (he's British). ‘We got along well and thought it was a financially wise decision to live together. And actually, it was also just a bit out of laziness,’ Chace once said about it.
4. Penn Badgley and Milo Ventimiglia
Another Gossip Girl actor who had a famous roommate. Penn was 18 when he moved in with the then 28-year-old Milo. They worked together on The Bedford Diaries and decided to become roommates. Fun fact: Penn often borrowed Milo's ID to get into bars.
5. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams
Well, well, that Ryan has been lucky with all his roommates. When Michelle and he were filming Blue Valentine, they lived together for a short time. This was at the request of the director, so not entirely voluntary. They both wanted to prepare as well as possible for their roles, so they agreed. They ended up living together for a month.
6. Christopher Reeve and Robin Williams
Two legends who passed away far too early, and also two BFFs, since they met in the 70s and lived together from that moment on. They both studied at Juilliard in New York and remained good friends afterward. When Reeve had an accident that left him paralyzed, Robin Williams was the first to bring a smile back to his face.
7. Justin Long and Jonah Hill
They didn’t last long together, as Jonah Hill was, according to Justin, a terrible housemate. ‘He left the bathroom door open and didn’t take care of himself properly. Little things like that. It almost became like we were an old married couple. It was time to break up.’
8. Jude Law and Ewan McGregor
Before they both became hugely famous, they lived together. In fact, they also had a small business together called Natural Nylon, a film company. They did this together with Sadie Frost, who was then Jude Law's partner.
9. James Cordon and Dominic Cooper
A very strange combo, right? They lived together in London until James moved in with his partner Julia Carey. When Dominic was a guest on The Late Late Show, he mentioned that they only had one piece of cutlery: a spatula. He said: ‘I still remember a very depressing evening when James ran into me — he came home and I was just eating baked beans with a spatula.’ Sounds like a very student-like place.
10. Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper
I think both of them would be really awesome housemates, so I’m jealous of both. When they were filming Aloha (which is really a terrible movie) in Hawaii (which is a pretty nice location), they initially both lived in their own houses, but Bradley's lease ended earlier, so he got to crash at Emma's until the filming was done.
