Wiekes weetjes: Facts that are going to make your day a lot better

Normally, I really love grim facts, but due to various events lately, I don't find the world to be a happy place. So I didn't need grim facts, but rather the opposite. A bit of trust in humanity, and a reminder that there are also many fun and beautiful things happening in the world.
That's why I present to you: facts that will make your day.
1. You can communicate with your rabbit
How fun is that? You can do this by moving your lips up and down very quickly, as if you want to look at your nose in a mirror. This resembles the nose movements that rabbits make, and if you do this to them, you'll see their movements speed up, precisely because they are interested. Copy their rhythm and voilà: you're chatting. How cute.
2. The group Bikers Against Child Abuse exists
This is a group of motorcyclists who support victims of child abuse during the trial. How? By looking very dangerous and tough, giving the victims the confidence to testify. They also provide a sense of safety, even outside the courtroom: they often gather at the victim's house to stand as security. This is an international group, so you can find them in multiple countries. Some motorcyclists also help adult victims during rape cases.
3. The ozone layer is slowly recovering
That's already good news, of course, but give yourself a high five, because it's thanks to people that this is now the case.
4. Cows have best friends
Isn't that just the sweetest? And if you spot two BFFs, definitely put on some music, because it's been proven that cows enjoy music. I want to see them dance. Wiggle wiggle.
5. Cheetahs are very shy (and meow)
So cute: in zoos, cheetahs often have support animals like dogs. The reason for this is that cheetahs can get into hyperfocus. Because there are many different people in a zoo, they panic and become very stressed. Since dogs can read situations very well, the dog knows exactly what to do when it senses stress from a cheetah. Cuuuute.
And you really have to see that meowing on YouTube. I really want a cheetah as a pet.
6. Seahorses are monogamous for life
Ah, true love still exists. Little seahorses even go on ‘dates’ before they mate and stay together forever. And when it's love, they swim together with their tails intertwined. CUTE. Give me that seahorse love.
7. It is illegal to have just one guinea pig in Switzerland
They are social animals and therefore must be bought in pairs, otherwise they become very unhappy. And you don't want that on your conscience.
8. Tarantula spiders sometimes have frogs as pets
Yep, even animals apparently have pets. They also just need a buddy. Makes sense.
9. If 99 percent of the world's population finds you unattractive, there are still 78 million people who will be crazy about you
Quite a lot, right? That's more than twice the population of all of Canada.
10. Crows let other crows know if someone is a good person
If you feed a crow in your garden, it can quickly lead to your garden being taken over by crows, because they have heard that you are okay (and give them tasty food). Moreover, they will really bond with you and can become quite protective and bring you gifts.
