These are the five sun destinations for autumn

The summer holiday isn't even over yet — or well, almost — and I'm already looking for the next vacation destination for the autumn. Just to have something to look forward to. Now, I'm not planning to go outside of Europe in October; during the autumn break, I prefer to stay a bit closer to home. But with one condition: it has to be warm enough that I can sit outside in the evening without a jacket. And that's not so easy in the heart of October. So here are five places in Europe where the weather forecast in the autumn (often) still hits 21 degrees. Book them!
Seville
Spain is always a good idea, but if you've already explored Barcelona and Valencia, I have another gem in store: Seville. In my opinion, this city doesn't get the recognition it deserves, because it's so nice here. It's located in the south of Spain, so nice weather is almost guaranteed with around 23 degrees. And when you're there, don't forget to visit the best tapas restaurant in the world. A tapa here, a tapa there — you'll get a wonderful holiday feeling.
Athens
It's no wonder that Athens is found in every top 10 must-visit travel list. The nice thing about this city is the weather (it's the warmest city in Europe in winter), but I also find the prices quite pleasant. You can keep yourself entertained endlessly without spending a cent too much. One tip: visit the Psirri neighborhood. This place has been named the coolest neighborhood in Europe and is located in downtown Athens. You just have to see it.
Malta
I find this island so lovely. In summer, it's just incredibly busy with tourists, so it's recommended to come in the autumn. The sun hasn't disappeared yet with an average of 23 degrees on the clock, and luckily there's no shortage of beach there. Valletta, the capital of Malta, is the place to be for the coziest terraces and the best food. My ultimate favorite? Gambit Bar & Bistro in the center. A cozy spot with delicious pasta and friendly staff.
Faro
Within three hours of flying, you're in the Algarve. And if there's one place that is nicely located topographically, it's this one. With 3000 hours of sunshine per year, it's one of the sunniest places in Europe, so the weather is (usually) good. As for the city of Faro itself, it certainly doesn't disappoint. The authentic streets, the cozy restaurants: if you want to seek peace but still stay in a city, this is the place you want to be. PS: often the flight tickets here are also incredibly cheap. Ideal.
Marrakech
I don't think I need to tell you why Marrakech is so special. If you want to experience something different, book your ticket to Morocco ASAP. The colorful streets, the exotic atmosphere, the beautiful riads: it's truly an experience you won't forget quickly. And you can already feel it coming: the best time to visit Marrakech is, yes, October. Then the extreme summer heat is over, but you can still enjoy the last few rays of sunshine. Who's in?
