Who, who, who came up with the cut-out trend?

It's summer so you want a new swimsuit. Or a bikini. Since I spend a lot of time on the beach as soon as the sun peeks around the corner, I think I can invest in a swimsuit. It's the only thing you pretty much wear, so you can definitely show off a bit. Moreover, the costs per wear are ultimately very low (you wear such a swimsuit day in and day out), so I let little hold me back when it comes to choosing a new swimsuit.

Until it was 2022. And every, but really every designer had decided to leave a bite out everywhere. Or to wrap the straps of your bikini top around your torso six more times and then casually tie it. Sometimes I think I've found one: a complete specimen. But then I click further and see the model in question wearing it and then yes, there it is again, a gap visible in a place where no one can have it. Yes, Doutzen or Maartje or Felice or Kate. But we ordinary mortals suddenly create a donut or a cream puff in that spot that peeks out through the fabric.

Who thought it was a good idea? Or is this a way to save a bit after the corona crisis? In that case, I would say: quickly fill the gaps, because then we will definitely buy. As far as I'm concerned, I'll skip the need for a swimsuit for a year.
