This is what an office job really does to your butt

Sitting on your lazy butt behind a laptop screen all day? That's actually such a waste. Of your derrière, that is, because a desk job gives you flat buttocks.
It is also known as the office butt. You can now recognize a hard-working person by their backside: flat = office job, round = active job.
Such a waste
Anyone dreaming of a nice backside like J.Lo or Kim K's better not choose a 9-to-5 job behind a screen. Sitting and sitting all day long is disastrous for your curves. Your butt gets flatter if you sit all day, every day. You develop inactive glute muscles: they become weaker and thus your butt also becomes less round. Interestingly, inactive glute muscles make your hip flexor muscles stronger, causing your back to bend without you realizing it. This leads to poor posture: when you sit, but after a long time also when you walk. You start to walk more hunched over and that butt becomes flatter over the years, but now that you know this, you can do something about it.
Do something about it
Especially if you work from home, it's easy to maintain: just squeeze in ten squats between work. It takes you hardly a minute and is effective for your butt. Look, the longer you wait with everything, the weaker those glute muscles become and the less well you can train your butt in the gym. This is actually the guideline you should follow. Whether you are at the office or working from home: stand up every half hour. Walk around, grab coffee, and hop, just bend those knees for a moment. Simply standing up can already be enough. Your butt will thank you. Because don't think J.Lo sits behind a laptop all day.
