This foodie movie on Netflix is one you don't want to miss

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: you don't want to miss this foodie film on Netflix
The kitchen of a fancy restaurant in London, the evening before Christmas. The tension is palpable, as the kitchen brigade is grumbling, the chef is in big trouble, and yes, at one of the tables sits someone writing a review about the restaurant. And then Boiling Point begins, an incredibly thrilling film.
Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant kitchen, whether it's in the dishwashing or as a cook, recognizes the situations in the super thrilling thriller Boiling Point. Taking a breather in the cooler, a minute to collect yourself: relatable. A kitchen brigade joking, complaining, and whining to each other: who doesn't know that? And a chef taking big swigs from the cooking wine bottle on the go: who can blame him?
From dishwasher to director
It's no wonder that Boiling Point comes across as so realistic. Director Philip Barantini has worked for years in restaurant kitchens, starting as a dishwasher and climbing up to chef. Viewers are also raving about actor Stephen Graham. You can see the misery on his face, he looks that bad. Tense as a violin string, pushed to the limit, and his workday hasn't even started yet. Super impressive: the entire film is shot in one take, precisely to emphasize the high pressure of working in a restaurant even more.
Netflix
The film Boiling Point is available on Netflix in England and Ireland, and it will also come to cinemas in the Netherlands this fall, but that's not certain yet. Or does someone at the Dutch headquarters of Netflix need to arrange something for us?
