I was never very enthusiastic about that skinny jeans trend, to be honest. Unfortunately, I am not blessed with a Kim Kardashian butt nor do I have the money to get a Brazilian butt lift like that whole family, so I never found this jeans model very flattering on myself. Nope, that whole trend was not for me.

The happier I was when boyfriend jeans became a trend, you can imagine. And to be very honest: I find these much sexier than a super tight pair of jeans and much easier to combine. But then I ran into a new problem: where do I find the perfect boyfriend jeans? That was quite a search, but you know the saying ‘seek and you shall find’. And I found it.

G-Star has a completely new collection called ‘The Boyfriends’. Well, with a name like that, you can expect it: this is totally my thing. They have two models, the Arc 3D and the Type 89, of which the first is available in no less than nine colors and the second in five colors. I think they are both really cool and they have exactly the fit I was looking for: the Arc 3D has a pretty low crotch, which I think looks really great with many looks. The Type 89 is more of a classic boyfriend jeans with straight legs. I got it one size larger for a more ‘baggy‘ look. And now I want all five colors.
