6x delicious spots in Paris

Is there ever a moment when you've gathered enough tips for Paris? Exactly, I didn't think so either. In this magical city, you're never done discovering. During my recent trip to Paris, I found a number of new gems that I certainly don't want to withhold from you.
Behold my new favorite hotspots:
1. Le Petit Marché
Fans of the well-known restaurant Chez Janou should definitely pay a visit to Le Petit Marché. The restaurant is actually owned by the same owners, and I find this one even cozier. It's a wonderfully authentic French spot with red leather sofas, wooden chairs, hundreds of paintings on the walls, and typical French dishes. Recommendation: the scallops, so delicious. By the way, this place is a bit tricky for vegetarians since there are a lot of meat and fish options on the menu. Reservations here are a must.

2 Café de la Poste
Here you can eat the best croque monsieur in Paris. Their entire breakfast menu is actually really great. This place is always full of young, trendy coffee-drinking people, and in the evening, the café transforms into a bar where you can enjoy delicious wines paired with a cheese platter, nachos, or pizza.

3. Aux Deux Amis
In this restaurant, you can drink something later in the evening, but also enjoy delicious food. They have a small seasonal menu and the tastiest natural wines. We ate at the bar here and had a wonderful evening. The service is very friendly, and there's a cheerful – not grumpy French – atmosphere. They don't take reservations here, so it's best to go around six o'clock or just before the second shift around ten.

4. Le Progres Marais
This spot in the beautiful Le Marais has the ideal terrace to plop down with a glass of champagne and watch all the passersby. You shouldn't come here for the food, but absolutely for a lively evening among Parisians. It has something of Café Charlot, but without all the Dutch tourists. Much nicer.

5. Le Bon Georges
I found this to be the absolute best restaurant of the entire trip. A ten for the atmosphere, a ten for the food, a ten for the service, a ten for the wines; everything was truly perfect. I had the best Beef Wellington ever here. A week before Paris, I decided to become a vegetarian, but that went a bit wrong here. And those heavenly desserts (I can't say sweets) here: caramelized apple pastries, fig tarts, chocolate cream puffs; as a sweet tooth, I went completely crazy here. You need to make reservations well in advance, as there are clearly more people who are just as much a fan of this place as I am.

6. Du Pain Et Des Idees
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this bakery makes the best croissants ever. This is exactly how you want to eat them: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. From the traditional croissant to pain au chocolat and almond paste in puff pastry. My favorite here? Without a doubt, the pistachio roll. With a coffee to go, this is the breakfast I would love to eat every morning.
