Everything you want to know about the Max Mara show in Lisbon
Over the water and in the grass, it was Max Mara that made the gardens of the Calouste Gulbenkian museum in Lisbon even more magical last night at a quarter past eight than they already were. The Resort ‘23 Show, ‘Vai lenço feliz’, was one to swoon over from head to toe. There were capes, fishnet tights, sparkling appliqués, leather gloves that barely covered the fingers, jackets with sleeves to the elbow, strapless tops, tropical prints, and of course the ton sur ton looks we are used to from Max Mara in plenty of black, white, and beige, with a crazy color palette of dark, deep shades like purple, red, yellow, green, and blue on the horizon for 2023. Long story short: it’s a show you absolutely would have wanted to be at. And if that wasn’t the case, then thank goodness we still have the photos and it looks like we were beautifully sitting front row in Lisbon together. For me, the icon coat with short sleeves, please.
