This is what we can learn from the women of Paris

Paris: as I type this, I find myself in this most beautiful place on earth. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've been here, but every time I am enchanted by the charm of this city. The beautiful buildings, dozens of galleries, and magical restaurants where reservations are still noted with pen and paper. Even the rain here doesn't bother me; yesterday I was still wandering through the city, laughing and soaked.
As you may have noticed, I find everything better in Paris. Okay, I admit that the French can be a bit arrogant at times, but I think that also has its charm – to a certain extent. And let's not forget about the beautiful women here, or better said: the Parisiennes. I think we can still learn a lot from them.
1. They drink a glass of wine every day
Weekend or no weekend, I spot groups of women on the terrace here daily with a glass of wine in their hand, often combined with a cigarette. They absolutely enjoy life here, and maybe that's exactly what makes them so charming. Of course, I don't want to encourage anyone to smoke, but why should we postpone the things that make us happy (like being with friends) until Friday? Life should be celebrated every day.
2. They place great value on lunch
That one glass I just mentioned is already on the table during lunch here. Okay, they probably drink more than one a day, but is that really so bad? While we quickly eat a meal behind our laptops, they take their time to have lunch out. Champagne and oysters at noon, that sounds like music to the ears, right? Well, I think so too.
3. They look stunning
They all look gorgeous, those Parisiennes, every day of the week. Perfect hairstyles, beautiful clothes, nice heels, and never vulgar but rather elegant, just like the city itself. Normally, I walk around like a slob five out of seven days a week, but here in Paris, I also make an effort. In fact, you really feel like putting in the effort here. And no, you won't be looked at strangely, nor will you be told that you're overdressed. Nice, right?
4. They embrace aging
This might be the most charming of all: the women here do not desperately try to look younger. They do their best to look good, meaning: women here do not suddenly neglect themselves from a certain age, but rather embrace aging. And that is exactly what makes the older woman here so beautiful. In a nice tailored suit, the wrinkles are worn with pride. Well, perhaps in combination with a little injection here and there, but apparently, they are also better at that.
