With this lifehack, you can make a scratchy knit comfy again
Hands up if you have a love-hate relationship with an incredibly beautiful but oh so itchy sweater from your closet. Not as annoying as a woolly itchy knit, right? Well, that struggle is a thing of the past. At least, if you can spare a splash of vinegar or conditioner. How does that work exactly? I'll tell you. It's a case of: a child can do your laundry, it's that easy!

Vinegar
I don't know about you, but when I'm hopelessly searching and finally end up on a forum of ‘Grandma knows best’, vinegar seems to be the solution so often. And what do you know? With this miracle product, you can not only clean all sorts of things, it also helps tremendously to make your itchy knits soft again. Easy peasy: add a splash of natural vinegar to your wool wash and let it spin, with that laundry. The vinegar ensures that the hard and prickly fibers become much softer and you wear your cardigan, sweater, or dress wonderfully comfy against your skin.

Conditioner
When I think about it, not such a crazy idea, right? Conditioner makes your hair soft and supple. Not surprising that it gives the same effect on a woolly hairy sweater. How can you best take care of your itchy knit? Soak it in a bucket of cold water and then squeeze it out so most of the cold water is gone. Dab a bit of conditioner on your sweater, let it sit for half an hour, gently knead the conditioner out, and lay your knit on a drying rack (don't hang it! And definitely not in the dryer, otherwise it will surely lose its shape). Once dry, you won't recognize your itchy clothing at all. Joe, you're welcome!
