The mango sticky rice popular due to a performance at Coachella

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the mango sticky rice, which became popular due to a performance at Coachella.
The Thai rapper Milli performed last week at the American music festival Coachella. While singing her eponymous hit, she took a bite of the typical Thai dish mango sticky rice and bam: a new craze is born. But what exactly is mango sticky rice?
For those who don't know mango sticky rice yet: the dish consists of a soft, ripe, sweet mango with steamed sticky rice, coconut sauce with a pinch of salt, and crispy fried mung beans, served on a banana leaf. And believe me: it's delicious.
Who wants a bite?
While singing, Milli took a bite of mango sticky rice and asked the audience who wanted a bite, and that went viral immediately. Since then, the traditional delicacy in Thailand has been ordered in droves. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha even announced that mango sticky rice is being nominated for the UNESCO list of intangible heritage.
