The vacation of the Verstappen kids
On Friday, Max Verstappen puts his foot back on the gas pedal of his Red Bull monster, but last week he briefly dove full speed into vacation happiness. As a huge Insta-stalker, I followed everything through all the accounts surrounding Max. That of Kelly Piquet, Victoria Verstappen (his sister), but also of both mothers who are having a great time together.
Are you talking about a Max Match made in heaven, then you’ve got one here. Max as the son of a Formula 1 driver and a racing mother and Kelly Piquet, daughter of three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet and, mind you, a Dutch mother. Of course, they have a good time together and the mothers understand this somewhat extraterrestrial world and the paths that need to be taken.
Kelly knows it. The training, the traveling, the attention, the criticism, and the luxury, but also the suffering. Because Formula 1 is top sport and for the family to move along with it is quite a lot to ask. Especially if you have a little one to take care of.
Of all the vacation photos, the one of Max with the floaties in the pool is my favorite. Am I being very pushy if I say I hope for a little Verstappen-Piquet descendant? In any case, I’m looking forward to this coming Sunday. And even more to the Sunday after that. Keep pushing, Max.
