Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: McDonald’s fans share their best Mac hacks.

Nice consistent quality, I love that, and even if you don't like the Maccie, you can't deny that they are at least consistent with their products. But there are ways to make that one Happy Meal even happier + other golden (arches) Mac hacks. Here are the six best tips from diehard fans.

Honestly: these are genuinely handy hacks. During my next visit to Restaurant The Golden Arches, I will definitely apply these.

1. Ask for fries without salt
This Mac hack has two advantages: I find those fries really incredibly salty and even though that's really tasty, sometimes I find it really really too much. So that's advantage number one. Advantage number two is that you are guaranteed fresh fries, because they come straight from the fryer. Be sure to do this when it's not too busy, because during rush hour that fryer is working overtime and you are guaranteed fresh fries anyway.

2. No table available, or eating in the car?
Then use this handy Mac hack. Maybe eating in the car isn't the most convenient, but you can eat everything at once, so I would still give it a try, to be honest.

3. For when you're broke: this is how to get a cheaper Big Mac
Buy two cheeseburgers and ask for separate Big Mac sauce. Honestly, I think you'll get some strange looks and you'll be known as a real cheapskate (the Mac isn't that expensive anyway), but you’ll end up laughing last because you have a cheaper Big Mac anyway. I should mention that the lettuce and pickles are missing, but hey, that's not really the best part of the Big Mac.

4. In a hurry? Definitely use the McDrive
Lines for the McDrive are way more annoying than lines in the restaurants, which is why these orders always get priority. You do need a car for this of course (walking through the McDrive or biking is rated medium), but it's good to know if you're using such a highway location and need to get through quickly.

5. Ask for a fresh batch
Instead of making it difficult by ordering your fries without salt or, for example, a Big Mac without pickles (which is also fresh because it has to be made specially), you can simply ask if everything can be fresh. I don't know if this is an urban myth, but employees have sometimes stated that they are required to do this if asked. It's worth a try, I think.

6. Birthday? Go to the Mac the month after for free stuff
If you download the McDonald’s app and register your birthday (or log in with your Facebook account), you get discounts or free products in the month after your birthday. Just remember to bring your ID, but that's a small effort for a free Big Mac, right? That app always has really nice deals anyway.

Well, I don't know what you're going to do, but I'm heading to the Mac with appropriate urgency. CAN'T WAIT.
