Wow, you really want to see the Chanel runway show

As you may have heard, Paris Fashion Week is still in full swing. And today was the show that the entire Amayzine editorial team was really looking forward to: the runway show of Chanel. And wow, this exceeded our expectations, because what a beauty this was.

The show took place at the Grand Palais Éphémère and featured tweed as the main attraction: even the decor was entirely made of it. The woman behind this was of course Virginie Viard, for years the woman behind Chanel.

‘Elegant and feminine; tweed breathes with the movement and rhythm of modern life,’ their press release stated. Viard herself said the following about it: ‘Devoting the entire collection to tweed is a tribute. We followed the footsteps of Gabrielle Chanel along the Tweed River, to see different colors of landscapes in tweed before us. Like that of a long pink coat, speckled with blue and purple or a burgundy pal with a soft sheen. This is what Gabrielle Chanel would do during her walks through the Scottish landscape: she would gather ferns and make bouquets of flowers to inspire local artisans for the color tones she wanted.’

We dream away for a moment, will you join us?
