Mother's Day countdown: 40 things to do together on Sunday

Don't panic: Mother's Day is only on Sunday, so there's no need to shop like a headless chicken right now. Or perhaps better said: there's no need to shop at all this year. The idea for the mother who has everything? Go out together. From shopping or a fancy dinner to rolling sushi together or heading to Aladdin on a flying carpet. The only thing you need to do is make a reservation, and that unforgettable day will come your way. Have fun, and say hi to mom.

1. Just ‘pop’ over to Paris with the Thalys.

2. It’s shop o’clock. A day of shopping (tip: Amsterdam The Style Outlets) and letting her choose her Mother's Day gift, how nice is that?

4. Or of course to Tina the musical in Utrecht.

5. Buy a piece of jewelry together. Think of it as a kind of ‘best friends forever’ necklace with a capital F for ‘forever’ and a non-wear-off gold layer.

6. Get a manicure and pedicure together.

7. Invite your mother over for dinner at your place and make her favorite dish.

8. Watch her favorite movie together with lots of snacks and chatting on the couch.

9. Take a gamble together at the casino.

10. Collect her favorite songs and surprise her with a Spotify playlist.

11. Go to the Dinnershow together.

12. Mini make-over: surprise her with new plants in her garden.
