Netflix tip of the day: there is another delightful romcom online

Netflix movie: A perfect pairing

Romcom lovers, gather around. There's another gem on our favorite streaming service, starring Victoria Justice. Do we still remember her? She was the star of Disney's Victorious, who unfortunately didn't make it as big as her former co-star Ariana Grande. And to be honest, when I saw the trailer, I thought it was Nina Dobrev — those two really look a lot alike, or is it just me? Anyway, she steals the show in this new romcom where we can enjoy it without having to think too much. Delightful.

Her co-star is the Australian Adam Demos, and I know exactly nothing about him, except that he has an incredibly Australian accent (not surprising, since he's from there) and I find that so attractive. Yep, this movie can't go wrong for me. Is there any point in going over the plot or are you already sold?

Okay, okay, let's see if it actually has a storyline. Lola Alvarez (Victoria Justice) works at Mythos Wines (dream job) and has set her sights on Vaughn Family Wines in Australia. She shares this plan with Audra, whom she sees as a friend besides being colleagues, but that turns out to be not so smart: Audra runs off with her plan, gets promoted by their boss, and Lola is left empty-handed. Bummer.

Lola is fed up, quits her job, and starts her own wine distribution company. To do this, she travels to Australia to hopefully make a deal with Hazel Vaughn, the boss of Vaughn Family Wines. Unfortunately, she is on vacation, so Lola is forced to find an Airbnb nearby and bide her time. By coincidence, she comes into contact with Max, the owner of the ranch where Lola is staying, and well... We can guess the rest, of course.

Not an innovative, surprising, or believable plot, but that doesn't really matter to us. This is just another delightful movie that we will probably forget about in a month or two. But by then, Netflix will probably have treated us to the next romcom.
