Sometimes I can really miss the problems from my teenage years. At least, I can't even call them problems anymore, but I had such a hard time as a teenager. So much drama unfolded at school and every setback felt like the end of the world. My friends and I also spouted the most adult nonsense, but we really had no clue. I still feel that way regularly: like a teenager who has no clue but can pretend really well. Maybe I should throw out some old sayings again, because every now and then they actually come in quite handy.

1. ‘The whole class scored insufficient, so this five is actually quite okay.’

2. ‘That teacher really can't teach.’

3. ‘Why would I do that?’

4. ‘I'm not a little kid anymore.’

5. ‘But everyone can stay until two o'clock tonight.’

12. ‘You don't understand anything about this, dad, so I'm not going to explain it.’

15. ‘I just went offline and back online on MSN, it always works.’

40. ‘We were so young back then, right? That photo is from a year ago. We were really babies back then!’
