People say: ‘This is the strangest thing I've ever experienced at a party’

To be honest, I had to get used to going to parties and festivals again after two years of being cooped up with Uncle Corrie. Don't get me wrong: I enjoyed it again, but it was still an adjustment. The times when I no longer raised an eyebrow when I saw someone at Awakenings indoor talking on a banana are officially a thing of the past. Anyway, I think I'm mostly focused on myself at a party, because I haven't seen any really crazy things around me. That's different with the Redditors: the answers to the question ‘what’s the most WTF moment you’ve ever had at a party?’ are quite intense.

1. ‘At a party on a farm, a guy had taken LSD. He had found a hat and a cape somewhere and decided to wear them. He had quite a bad trip and suddenly acted very depressed, focusing on dying throughout his trip. So I took him outside for a bit to get some fresh air. We walked into the dark, and I thought for a moment that he was doing better, until suddenly about ten cows ran past. His eyes went wide, and he ran away. The drunk guests at the party shouted: ‘The cows have escaped!’ and they also ran after the cows. The problem was that everyone was so out of it that it didn't work at all. By the way, I never saw that guy with the cape again.’
