Yes, finally the first images of That 90’s Show can be viewed and that is exactly the moment when I can feel very old again. The 90s were my youth and the fact that a series is now being made about it — and that it is portrayed as a ‘past time’ — I find quite confronting. When That 70’s Show was on TV, I thought that was so long ago, the 70s. Inconceivably long ago. And now the kids who will watch this series will feel exactly the same. In short: I am a grandma.

But that doesn’t mean that I’m not looking forward to this series. On the contrary, it looks really cool and we also see some familiar faces from the original series. The Forman family is back, for example. Eric and Donna’s daughter (from That 70’s Show) visits her grandparents during the summer vacation of 1995, and that is where the entire first season will take place.

Honestly: they really know how to capture the 90s vibe well, as can be seen in the teaser. I fear we will have to wait a little longer for the trailer, but fortunately, there is already a release date: January 19 is when the season will be available on Netflix. CAN'T WAIT.
