Tempa Talk: episode 5

Sooooorrry. Yes, that's the best place to start. Because I'm late. Too late. I was dealing with something and I'm afraid it has to do with growing up or something, because I had a Temptation overkill. And I've never had that before. Yes, that does shock you a bit. Ifound the previous episode so annoying that I wasn't exactly jumping to watch the latest episode. Crazy. But don't worry, I got over it, I had a stern talk with myself (‘who do you think you are, this is your favorite show, stop being so dramatic‘) and sat down to watch again. And yes: I ENJOYED.
1. So this is the episode where a couple goes home, but I also hope it's the episode where Esmé says goodbye to Ivo. Of course, she's participating as a seducer so this is completely the point of the show, but every girl runs away screaming, right?
2. ‘René doesn't really understand how that click between Esmé and me is,’ says Ivo. Correction: no one understands that. In fact, I have the feeling that Esmé herself doesn't necessarily understand it anymore.
3. He goes on: ‘I think they're both super cool.’ One is a girl he has known for two days, with the other he has been in a relationship for nine years. Hmm.
4. I do love René, by the way. I hope he doesn't pack his bags.
5. So lame of the creators to let that screen blare for a lame conversation from René, just show how he talks about Ivo or how he acts when he's sober. So far, I have the impression that Whitney and he are the ones who think the most.
6. ‘I think he's being quite sexist, you know.’ Am I being very cynical if I think that the vast majority of men can talk like that when they're among themselves and not being filmed?
7. Wow, that went fast. Linde is leaving. We saw that coming a bit, right? But now the big question is whether Jan Sietse is also waiting for that.
8. What kind of name is The Swing of Love anyway? How does Monica manage to say that so seriously?
9. What. Does. Ivo. Say. ‘Maris is a bit more intense than how I do it.’ WHAT ARE YOU SAYING. Aaaargh. Why are people like this?! Is there not a mirror anywhere they can put Ivo in front of?
10. It's quite noticeable that the men seem to be more jealous this season than the women. Usually, it's the other way around, right? This campfire is particularly bad for the guys, I must say.
11. Spooooiler incoming: Jan Sietse and Linde are no longer together? Yes, I too follow the juice channels just like all of the Netherlands and I managed to avoid all spoilers about Temptation, except for this one.
12. So anyway, twenty percent of this season has already failed, in other words: a nice result when we're only at episode five.
13. Not Ivo saying that he finds the footage the hardest for the other men, no no, Ivo, you really provide the worst footage of all participants this season.
14. Oh shit, calm down, René. At the beginning of the episode, you said you were a smart guy. You are. But just remember that the creators aren't necessarily putting together a campfire to make you feel good.
15. Now I'm looking forward to next week again. I had a bit of that Ivo/Esmé overkill, but this episode was great.
16. And honestly: it looks enjoyable too, you know. A new couple, Ivo in tears, René on a date at one of the saddest restaurants I've ever seen... CAN'T WAIT.
