Thaaaanks Videoland, for that Valentine’s surprise yesterday. It was such a crazy date to start; why February 16? Just do it two days earlier on Valentine’s Day. Seems like the ideal day before, to me. And to be honest, we were already completely ready for it. And after two failed seasons (Tony Junior and Chris from Prince Charming are both still very much single), will it be a case of third time's the charm? I honestly have no idea and I'm especially curious about how the chemistry will be between Thomas and all the women. What are we waiting for? Let’s gooohooo.

1. ‘Also known as the land of El Amor.’ Wow, that Rick speaks quite a bit of a foreign language and I think he’s the first person ever to call Mexico that.

2. Ehh, wait a minute. Is a ‘hacienda’ just another word for ‘villa’ and not just a tent at Lowlands? Ha. Today I learned.

3. It’s kind of funny that Tony was over 30, Thomas is almost 30, and they still find all potential loves who are in their early 20s. I have some thoughts about that.

4. A little cheesy, this whole introduction round from Thomas, including a mandatory drinks night with friends to ask for ‘tips’. Do we seriously believe that Thomas needs tips to win over girls?

5. More than 3500 applications?! Nice going, Thomas. If your dream woman isn’t among these selected ladies, you can always ask to sift through the others.

6. Cuuuuute. You can really see that he’s mega nervous.

7. Now he does have a particularly beautiful girl standing in front of him first. I can see her as a finalist. I don’t quite understand the association with Formula 1, but I also hope for her that the date goes well.

8. Uh, yeah, I don’t think there’s really a connection with Demi. And Diandra is also standing there quite stiffly. My god, I’m getting a bit nervous for those girls. I would absolutely never dare to do this.

9. And I would definitely be on my flat face within five meters due to clumsiness and too high heels. Hats off that none of those girls have experienced that yet.

10. Is it possible not to become cheerful from Lysette? Holy shit, what energy. Love it.

11. Hellooo, who is this lady in the J.Lo dress?! Romy thought: I’m taking that Versace from Jenny from the Block and I’m going for it. Well, mission accomplished, I’d say. 

12. Fun fact: this Romy previously had a relationship/fling with… Giel Beelen. Yep.

13. Thomas: ‘Oooh, this always takes so long.’ Well, really. How long is he supposed to stand there? Next day sore muscles?

14. Okay, maybe I just think it’s taking too long myself: I want to see dates. I want to know who gets the first rose. I want to know if the next women come as a surprise during this episode.

15. All those sly girls who are going to spy on the rest: I would probably do exactly the same. Or drink away my nerves with all the wine there. Upon further reflection, I would go for that second option.

16. Okay, shall we place a bet? Romy gets that rose. For sure. With a dress like that, it’s hard to miss.

17. #durftevragen: wouldn’t Rick also think about a few of those girls: wait a minute, Thomas, I’ll just take this one from you?

18. Yes, YES. The new women. I bet Rick (and those three new girls) hoped for a slightly smoother reception.

19. Wow, but they are the first three to actually have a chance to have drinks (big plus) and talk. The OG group is not happy.

21. I see something. I see sparks. Between Anna Noëlle and Thomas. Or is it just me? Is she taking the rose that Romy was supposed to get?

22. NO. Stop. I found this incredibly annoying with Prince Charming already, but they are going to make it even worse now. Really, a cliffhanger in the first episode? We’ll definitely be back tomorrow, Videoland. Don’t worry.

23. He doesn’t feel that connection with several (!) ladies already. I get it, though: there are quite a few, so it would be impressive if he thought they were all amazing. We want to know who the spark does fly with. *$^^#^# Damn cliffhanger.

24. My bet still stands: it’s going to be Romy anyway, right? If anyone thinks differently, challenge me, I’m a hundred percent sure about this.
