I used to be so dissatisfied with my hair; I wanted it straight, longer, and fuller. Then I could look with envy at all those celebrities who had exactly the hairstyle I dreamed of. Little did I know that there were hours of work involved in a hairstyle like The Rachel (I seriously brought a picture to the hairdresser with: ‘I want this’). It also took me a scandalously long time to realize that almost all Kardashians just wear wigs and/or extensions. Yep, I was quite naive in that regard. Unfortunately, I first had to fry my hair multiple times with a bad straightener before I started looking for other solutions.

A few years ago, I finally decided to get extensions too. I made the rookie mistake of choosing exactly the kind that is really mega bad for your hair. HAHA. My hair seriously caught fire from the bad extensions... Oops. By now, I've been smart about it for two years and I'm very happy because I've switched to tape extensions. A serious tip from this (now) expert: if you're thinking about extensions, you really want these. These are the only ones I've tried that don't damage my real hair. I get it done at this hairdresser in Amsterdam, who was the first to do them in the Netherlands.

But to be honest: when I see these hairstyles of the celebs, it starts to itch again. Then I want more, longer, and different colors. If I also have a stylist at my disposal 24/7, I might just go for it.
