With these drinks, you'll fall asleep better

Unfortunately, I belong to the group of restless, poor sleepers. All day long I am dead tired and yet I often find it difficult to fall asleep in the evening. That’s why I regularly try different things and am always looking for new tips. Preferably as natural as possible, because most sleeping pills make me sluggish and even more tired.

As a little girl, I often drank warm milk before going to bed. I can remember that it made me calm and I fell asleep wonderfully. It could of course also just be due to the carefree existence back then, but since I now also belong to the lactose intolerant group, I stopped this ritual years ago. Still, I would like to pick it up again with another warm drink, and that’s why I have been looking for an alternative.

Pomegranate tea

People with a lower vitamin C level in their blood have more trouble sleeping. And since pomegranate is full of good nutrients like folic acid, potassium, iron, and vitamin C, it can have a positive effect on your sleep. You can of course also just eat the pomegranate seeds for this effect, but just before going to bed, a cup of pomegranate tea is quite nice.

Golden latte

I see this drink coming up more and more often among people who replace it with coffee. It is a mixture of turmeric, cinnamon, coconut oil, and almond milk. Drinking such a gold drink gives your immune system a boost, helps against inflammation, and ensures better digestion. It thus helps in digesting your dinner, which in turn helps you fall asleep faster, because sleeping on a full stomach is not easy for anyone. By the way, this also seems like a delicious dessert; instead of an espresso, a golden latte.

Peppermint tea

Finally, peppermint tea is good for improving digestion. Peppermint does have a specific taste, so you have to like it. Fortunately, I love peppermint. Peppermint helps your stomach relax and your intestines stay calm. So just like with the golden latte, this tea ensures that you are not kept awake by your stomach.
