How to use a liquid or cream bronzer

Call me a giant spray elf, but I've recently started using a liquid bronzer. Secretly, I've always found it an unnecessarily complicated way to add some color to my face, but actually, it's not that bad. In fact: if you apply it the right way to the right places, it often looks nicer than a powder. My base is always a foundation or an SPF, in any case, something creamy and liquid. Apply a powder over it in a shade darker, and then it might look patchy by the end of the day. Suppose you also (unconsciously) touch your face a lot: goodbye bronzer. Recognizable, right? It can be different by first not touching your face, secondly, powdering your face first with a translucent powder, and only then applying your powder bronzer. (tip: do this as standard with eyeshadow to prevent creasing) or go for a liquid product. I go for the latter, and how to do that best I'll tell you:

If you have a liquid or cream bronzer, chances are you apply it directly from the packaging to your face. Don't do that anymore. First, apply a small amount to the back of your hand, so also the cream variant, if you have it. You do this by warming it up a bit with your fingers and applying it to your hand. Then use a compact brush or beauty blender (whichever you prefer), which you dip into the color. Before applying it to your face, dab it first on the clean part of your hand to distribute the color. Now you only go towards your face and start dabbing high on your cheekbone from your ear to about the middle of your cheek. You find that point by looking straight ahead in the mirror. Draw an imaginary line from your eye down towards your cheek; that's where you stop. If the coverage and color are to your liking, we go up towards your forehead. Along your hairline, you also carefully apply some color, but build this up gradually. Also include the top of your nose and carefully (emphasis on carefully!) contour your jawline with the same color. Just make sure it blends nicely with your neck, because you don't want it to look fake. Et voilà, you're done. Have you mastered this? Then try this next level trend for summer: brontouring.
