According to TikTok, this trick prevents your hangover

As soon as I see something online about preventing a hangover, I'm of course there like a chicken. Under the motto of if it doesn't help, it doesn't hurt, I like to test all the much-discussed remedies. Unfortunately, they often turn out to work a bit less than expected, and after a night out, I'm still as limp as a dishcloth on the couch.

Well, my search for hangover killers never stops, so today I have another new hack for you. Of course found on TikTok, and this is one that I have a very good feeling about. This trick not only prevents a hangover but also gives your alcoholic beverage a better taste. Ideal, right? Okay, I admit: this sounds almost too good to be true, but before you tune out, I'm going to tell you why this could really be an invention.

First of all: how does this hack work? Very simple: before you enjoy your alcoholic drink, you filter it through a Brita water filter. Yes, that's really all you have to do. There's a good chance you already have this thing in your fridge filled with water, and if not, you can get one for less than twenty bucks.

Now I hear you thinking: how do you know this works? Well, I know this from the notorious pharmacist Chris, who regularly shares interesting videos on TikTok about, among other things, the use of alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes. About filtered drinks, he says the following: ‘With a Brita filter, drinks taste better. It also reduces your chance of a hangover.’ Do you get less drunk from it? Unfortunately not, because the filter doesn't change the alcohol percentage.
